  After being to many other presidential libraries, I found the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley to be especially imposing, with its large hilltop setting and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. You will need several hours to fully see and explore it. The museum features major exhibits such as the Air Force One Pavilion, where visitors can walk through the actual presidential plane used by Reagan and several other presidents. It also includes a Marine One helicopter, a replica Oval Office, and even a section of the Berlin Wall, highlighting key moments from his presidency. One unusual feature is a recreated Irish pub that was transported from Ireland after Reagan visited it. In addition, the site serves as the final resting place of Ronald and Nancy Reagan, making it both a powerful museum and a memorial

  If you are in the area, this is a must stop. It was a VERY well thought out museum and had SO much to see and do. The exhibits were very informative and many were hands-on. Make sure you leave about 3 hours to really take everything in. It could have easily taken 4 hours but I had to go so I stayed 3. There were many picture opportunities and it was such a big museum with many people to direct where to go next. The museum was well-layed out and had people to help direct you in the correct path to take. There was a timeline path about the life of Nancy and Ronald Reagan. There is full sized Air Force I, Marine I, presidential motorcade, a piece of the Berlin Wall, fighter jets and much much more (Including a replica room of the Oval Office). This a must do!

  Put this on your list of places to go! You should expect to spend a few hours going through the exhibits. I suggest going through the first section, then grabbing a bite to eat, sit outside and enjoy the overlook then return for the second half. We happened to go on Reagan's actual birthday and saw Kevin McCarthy, Pete Wilson and a group of Marines who honored the president that day. When busy, they run a shuttle from the street (off site parking) but beware they stopped running the shuttle later in the afternoon and we had to walk out to our car. For those who struggle with the walk, you'll want to ensure you know when the shuttle ends. Great learning experience, docents were very pleasant and well informed. Clean restrooms, fair pricing, reasonable selections in the gift shop. My recommendation for the gift store is better collections for men's and women's shirts. A couple of options I was interested in, the quality of tee was mediocre...a little stiff. But overall some great choices for souvenirs and gifts. For people like me who were young when Reagan was in office, there was a ton of familiarity but the library provided great context for where the world was at the time.

  Plan to spend all day here if you’re visiting. There’s so much to read, learn and see. Our family enjoyed walking on air force one & marine 1. That was our kids top experience here. As a world schooling family we enjoy learning on the go. I wish we had more time! There’s a cafe in the museum and had a good option to choose from and plenty of places to sit, including outside with a stunning view. Keep a lookout for the jelly bean jars ;)

  After 7 years of living in the area, it took a visit this Summer to finally visit! I wasn’t sure what to expect but what truly excited to see the 250th Anniversary exhibit. While the exhibit was lovely, living in Bucks county, Pennsylvania has given me the most information about our nation’s history. With Philadelphia 30-45 minutes down the road THAT city is the best story teller. However, what I learned about Reagan and his contributions in office is what truly mattered. It doesn’t mean that my political views align with what his were; however, I believe each of our PAST presidents has tried to connect with the people and do what is right for our country.
