OC Parks' 124-acre park at 4442 Carbon Canyon Rd with Orange County's only redwood grove (3 acres, reached by a 1.1-mile nature trail), a 4-acre fishing lake with two piers and five playgrounds. Fall and winter closing is 6pm, so plan the redwood walk before the afternoon.

Great place, weekdays it is $3 for parking or if you feel energized you can park off of prospect by resolution crossfit and walk in. It's about half a mile to the redwood grove from there but be ready for some major hills, bring good shoes if you go this way! The park and redwood grove are beautiful and well maintained. Please leave no trace behind when you visit so everyone can enjoy the park 🙏

The park is worth the entrance fee (I paid $3.00). It's tranquil to walk between the 55 year old redwood trees. Expect around 300 trees in a cluster. They are still young but are taller than last time I visited (in 2014). Great place to have a picnic near the lake. Some options for light - moderate hiking.
