This place is a paradise for native California chaparral nerds like myself. It houses many of the species that characterize our local plant communities like Salvias, a Ceanothus, yarrows, and fuchsias. Notably, there are some interesting cultivars and hybrids here like a redbud with red leaves. I came during mid-May and the entire garden was exploding in vibrant colors from all of the blooms! The garden itself is not too small, but also not big either. I spent about an hour admiring the plants myself, but the entire garden can be walked in about 10 minutes. The park itself is very clean and the paved trails are well-kept; don't forget to pick up your trash when you leave!
