A volunteer-staffed Forest Service visitor center at 1960 N San Gabriel Canyon Rd, the gateway to the San Gabriel Canyon area. Staff can tell you which canyon roads and trails are open — ask about current fire-danger and OHV-area restrictions before heading up the canyon.
