A mostly decomposed-granite path through native plants along the west bank of the San Gabriel River, from Carson St north to Monte Verde Park and on to Candlewood St (about 3 miles round trip). You can enter at Monte Verde Park (4626 Shadeway Rd), Carson St, Del Amo Blvd or Candlewood St at Knoxville Ave. Monte Verde's lodge and amphitheater open only for scheduled programs.
