A historic library with a young readers section, puzzles and small tables; reviewers bring babies and older kids alike. Staff are described as helpful with children. One regular complains the restrooms are often messy and out of paper towels. Free, indoors, and good for a short stop.
A storybook 1898 Moorish-style library beside Smiley Park, with the only Lincoln/Civil War museum west of the Mississippi next door — free.

I really enjoyed my time at the A K Smiley Library. My 9 month old daughter was able to do some puzzles and enjoyed reading. A perfect place to visit on a saturday morning.

This is the cutest little library, both inside and out. My favorite part is a charming corner inside with small tables, cozy lanterns, and large windows offering a lovely view. Above the windows, there's a stunning Jugendstil-colored glass window that adds so much character and warmth to the space. It's the perfect spot to relax with a book or just enjoy the ambiance. If you’re in Redlands, I highly recommend stopping by – it’s such a cozy and inviting place, full of charm and history!
