Old school bowling alley with good food and drink options. The staff is cool and kind and even on weekends when they tell you the wait is long some times the wait is not as long as you'd think. The cocktails are innovative and unique and the pizza is delicious, well crafted and composed with the right balance between ingredients. The bowling is fun and attracts a nice sociable crowd. The lanes curve the ball towards the center adding a dynamism to the play. There is LADOT parking nearby

Its a neat place, poor cooling, expect a lot of sweaty body odor. The drinks are pretty good and I have yet to sneak into the new tiki bar. Overall a fun time trading on the worn-in rustic hipster vibe of the late 00s. More Black Keys than stomp-clap.

The price per play is cheaper than those alleys in nearby areas. I like the vintage look of the bowling alley. But it’s dim. I wish the game area is a little bit brighter. The balls are kind of oily / greasy that I need to wipe it every time before using it. Such also affected my grip of the balls, especially the heavier ones. I used Lane 5 (center lane) thinking that the floor is a bit sloped to either sides. But, it seems that there’s something wrong with Lane 5, too. The balls are swaying either side although I threw it in at the center. Plus, there’s a wood sticking out before the foul line which could affect the direction of the ball if it ever hit that wood. No reservations. You have to come early pay a cheaper price and less waiting time.

Fantastic building and space. Womderfully preserved and/or renovated. Drips with history. 8 lanes with old time pin machine that is great to look at and hear. Bowling seating also superb. Then why four stars. A bit limoted cocktail capability but the real problem is the food. Spongy, chewey calamari and tasteless, floppy pizza. Also, there was one server for all 8 lanes. Omce it filled up everything was slow. They did finally get him some help but 5 stars, for me, you can't have bad food and spotty service. The building, bowling and vibe are a strong five stars and if you don't eat or have cocktails there are no demerits. Outstanding history and presented perfectly.
