A 709-acre City of Glendale park at 3429 Markridge Rd (mailing address La Crescenta) in the foothills above Crescenta Valley. The 12-acre Park Center has the historic Stone Barn Nature Center, a ranger station, parking, restrooms, picnic facilities and walking paths, with trails climbing into chaparral and streamside woodland. The canyons have little shade, so start early in warm weather.
