Large soccer field, two basketball courts with chain nets, an unusual playground, picnic tables and clean restrooms with filtered water. A shaded perimeter path suits a walk with the buggy, and dogs are allowed. Parking gets tight when a party or game is on, and sprinklers run on the field in the morning.
On Van Buren Street, this park gives families room to run with playgrounds, picnic areas and open turf for pickup soccer — a quiet, low-key spot that rarely feels crowded. Pack a shaded picnic and plan morning or evening visits, since desert midday heat makes the grass and equipment blazing hot in summer.

Beautiful and clean park. Great for visitors to walk, jog, and bike around the large, well-maintained soccer field. I went to use one of two basketball courts there one morning on a weekend getaway, and it was quiet even with a few others exercising around the park. The basketball court has chain nets though, so be careful with any nice basketballs because it can damage the skin on it. Lots of picnic tables and parking. When I left, I saw a large party celebrating under a covered area. The soccer field is huge and sprinklers were on in the morning to prep for game day.

We were staying in Coachella for a couple of weeks and needed a place to walk our dog Nugget. This park was close by and allowed dogs so we gave it a try. There is a walkway around the perimeter which is shaded and a nice distance.
