A handsome park with green grass and shade, but the reviews carry a repeated warning. Several describe people sleeping in the children's play area, cigarette ends and drug use there, and one reports finding a small knife by the benches. Restrooms are reported locked or dirty.
A large neighborhood park on Dr. Carreon Boulevard with open green space, walking paths and picnic seating — an easygoing free stop close to the Indio Teen Center. Bring a picnic for the evening when the desert cools and the fields fill with kids and soccer games. Shade is limited midday, so aim for early or late.

Homeless people sleeping in the children's play area. Found a small knife laying casually next to the benches. Came at 10am and not a single child, not a single family. But there are cigarette butts in the children's areas. Park is absolutely gorgeous. Architecturally very rad. Lots of green grass. Absolutely will never return. Terribly unsafe.
