DropZone Waterpark

A city-run waterpark with slides, a lazy river, a FlowRider, and a shallow Lil' Jumpers area for little ones. It's seasonal and won't open if the weather turns cool, so check the hours calendar before you drive out. Twilight or weekday tickets are the budget-friendly move.

Overall, we had a fun day, and we appreciate that the park is well organized and clearly takes safety seriously. There are plenty of lifeguards throughout the park, and it’s obvious that guest safety is a priority. That said, I think there are some inconsistencies in how that attention is applied. At the mat slides today, there were very few mats available. Kids were continuously coming down the slide and walking away with their mats, even though there were other children waiting in line with no mats available. Because there were so few mats in circulation, the line came to a standstill. The lifeguards were focused on making sure no one crossed the red line, but they weren’t helping keep the mats moving. A simple reminder to leave the mats at the bottom for the next rider would have kept the line moving and prevented unnecessary frustration. When I pointed this out to one of the lifeguards, she told me it wasn’t her job. When I questioned it further, she shrugged her shoulders and said I would have to talk to her manager. Meanwhile, my children stood waiting for quite a while because there were no mats available. I ultimately had to step in myself and ask the kids exiting the slide to pass their mats to those waiting in line. It shouldn’t have been up to a guest to solve the problem after bringing it to the staff’s attention. What concerns me most is that this kind of situation can easily create frustration and conflict between families and parents when it’s something that could be prevented with a little staff involvement. Ironically, while floating in the lazy river, I was immediately corrected by a lifeguard because my foot was resting on my child’s raft. It felt like a very minor issue compared to the mat slide situation, where many guests were being impacted and the staff wasn’t willing to help. This is a park our family loves, and we’ve made it a tradition to visit at least once a year for the past five years. That’s why this experience was especially disappointing. I genuinely hope this is addressed, because it seems like a simple issue to correct with better staff involvement and customer service. We will continue to visit, but I hope next time the priorities are better aligned so guests aren’t left to solve problems that staff should be handling.

Our kiddos had a blast! The park was large and the attractions were spread out so there wasn't crowding. We ordered hamburgers and chili cheese fries. The food was a little over seasoned but good. It was better than expected for a water park. My minor complaint was that there were not enough inflatables available at the lazy river. It wasn't crowded and still all the inflatables were taken. Overall it is a great place to spend summer days with the family. We will be back!

The lazy river was definitely our favorite part about this water park. Everything was very functional and worked well. I would say that it means a little bit of a revamp. The lazy river could use misters. It just looks like the park could use a little paint or . Overall I think the prices are very reasonable. There are a lot of rules, no runny, no linking, no sitting the steps, no googles in the kid pool. Ect. On one hand it's nice because it keeps people safe. On the other hand it's annoying to constantly be redirected constantly.

I think the younger crowd benefits from this place, it's okay for a little while but it can get boring after a while. I liked the lazy river it was cool. The price is pretty good! We didn't get food so I'm sorry can't tell you about that.
