The civic-center main library has a dedicated children's services desk and is a classic free rainy-day or hot-afternoon option for story time and picture books. Note the main branch has been temporarily closed for work, so call or check the library site for current hours and any interim location before heading over.

I've been coming to this library since I was a kid and even now, I always have the same great feeling that I had as a kid coming here. Ms. Lori W. is the supervisor here and she is just great. She is always very helpful and informative. Another worker named Akil was very nice as well. We had a great conversation. The 3rd floor is now a private floor only for people that need passports, so there is no more access to the 3rd floor. And for now until further notice, the private rooms are closed due to COVID-19. But other than that, this library is great. Such a nice atmosphere and there is a huge selection of books to choose from. They even have donation books that you can purchase on your way coming in or out that cost no more than $1.00! So please come visit and support this awesome library with such an awesome staff. They really deserve more support from the cities outside of Inglewood. Along with my comment, I left a selection of books that I have caught my eye that are available to check out. Thanks for reading my really long review!

Spacious with very few people all day -- at least thats what it looks like given its sparsely-furnished expanse. Librarians are attentive and helpful though the collections, like most libraries nowadays, are antiquated and unremarkable. Still it provides you what you seek in a library.

It is a very quiet place but the parking lot is too small, and the rates are a bit high. Other libraries have free parking. I don't understand.

The solar eclipse event they had going on was a total mess. Elderly women and children being pushed out of the way by adults. It was unorganized. A lady held up a hand full of solar glasses at the front of the auditorium when every one just rushed the stage. That's very dangerous. People who waited for hours pushed out of the way by people just showing up. Glasses ripped in half out of my hand. The police had to be called by the staff. Not something children should have to see at the library.
