Beaumont Library District

Beaumont, CA

★★★★★4.6(91 Google reviews)

The charming downtown library on E 8th Street is a reliable rainy-day or beat-the-heat stop with a dedicated kids' area and regular story times. It's an independent district library, so check their online calendar for children's programs before you head over. Easy free parking and a quick walk to old-town Beaumont.

This little local library is under a major renovation, and I can't wait to see how much better they make it. It's already fabulous. Staff is so friendly and helpful. They even have passes for our state parks that you can check out and visit state parks at no cost. My friend checked out a telescope and when stargazing with no investment other than drive time. I can't say enough about this library and the team that works there.

The Children’s Librarian, Ms. Van Valkenburg, is one the best , ever. The library shines because of her. Beautiful Roosevelt CCC/WPA murals upstairs and a great place overall to be at.

Had a wonderful time here, very peaceful and nice despite having so much construction while I was there. Everyone was super kind and nice, will 100% come again !

I have had the most amazing experiences with all the children’s programs here! The teachers LOVE what they do and it shows. This library is super super clean and the children’s section is beautiful and well stocked! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and love to now take my own kids!

The library itself is beautiful. We appreciate how there were so many book options for kids to choose from…the esthetic was beautiful too. However, we felt really uncomfortable with the amount of “we’re closing” warnings we got. We had 40 minutes until closing yet we got a warning as soon as we walked in and every 5 minutes after that. Finally when there was 10 minutes left before closing a very rude woman picked up the toys (when my child was already cleaning up himself) and turned off the lights while we were still IN THERE. We were not abusing anyone’s time or overstaying. With today’s society, there are very few families like my own who have children excited about going to libraries and opening books. The staff from Friday night made us not want to go back there again. If people are being respectful of your time, don’t make them feel like they are being a burden. So so so disgusting.
