I love this park. I’m an adult now but, i would go here after elementary school in the weekday with my aunt and grandma. I don’t come here as much anymore since they moved away. I come by every now and then just to sit down and enjoy the view. Also, they have trails which are nice to see. Just don’t interfere with the wildlife, especially the caterpillars (i came back the next day after the photos and most of them were gone or squished 😔)🐛

It's such a beautiful place close to a really peaceful residential zone! It has really nice views, with fountains and greenery. Every tree and flower has its specific information which is so helpful and nice to have on hand. There are ducks and a lot of wildlife if you go a little up the mountain tracks! I didn't know but there's a nature center just in there where you can go inside and check information or have a one on one view with a lot of reptiles like lizards, geckos, snakes, bees even chinchillas!

My husband and I go at sunrise to look at beautiful scenery up the mountain behind Mary Vagle NC. There are good trails all around there, offering a good hike workout and beautiful nature scenery. No outdoor restrooms though. Also easy parking and easy to find using GoogleMaps. We have yet to visit the inside of the nature center.

Totally a great natural place to visit for a couple of hours. Nice lake, lots of ducks. You Leave them alone they leave you alone. The only one thing I suggests is that you put bug spray before you go so you don't get bit.
