A short waterfront strip, walkable end to end in about ten minutes by reviewers' accounts, with restaurants, benches and grass to sit on, plus the ferry across the bay. Kids get skyline views and planes coming in to land. It is described as clean, and the crowd density is high.

Bayfront shops and dining with skyline views, reached by a fun harbor ferry from downtown.

Where's the best place to see the sunset in San Diego during the summer? Of course, it's the Coronado ferry landing! I highly recommend everyone go to IL Foranio for an Italian dinner - you can make a reservation around 6:30 PM. The sunset in summer is usually around 7:50-8 PM, so you can enjoy your dinner while watching the sky turn from orange to pink. Of course, for those who love watching sunsets, the blue hour after 8 PM is absolutely breathtaking. The most interesting thing is that you can often see planes landing here. This is one of my favorite spots to watch planes land besides Ethan 'sCorner. You'll see the planes fly through this tall building and head straight down to the airport in downtown. Especially at sunset, with the orange reflections on the building and the planes in the sky, and maybe a few clouds sprinkled in, it's absolutely poetic. This is the only skyline in San Diego that I personally think is one of the best spots to enjoy the view from. If you're interested, you can also take a ferry across to Seaport Village.

Coronado Ferry Landing is a great spot to relax and take in the waterfront atmosphere. It’s especially perfect if you’re planning to catch a boat ride across the marina, with easy access to the ferry and beautiful views of the water and downtown skyline. The whole area feels calm and scenic, making it enjoyable even if you’re just there to walk around. One of the best parts of the Ferry Landing is the variety of food options nearby. There are plenty of places to grab a bite, whether you’re in the mood for something quick and casual or want to sit down and enjoy a meal with a view. It’s convenient to have so many choices all in one place. Overall, Coronado Ferry Landing is a fun and laid-back destination that offers more than just transportation. Between the boat ride, the marina views, and the solid food scene, it’s a great place to spend some time and soak in the Coronado vibe.
