  This is my go to outside promenade outdoor mall. Incidentally, I don’t do a ton of shopping here, but there are lots of shops to choose from particularly when it comes to ladies fashion. I generally go for the walking, the coffee, and the restaurants. Probably the most significant anchor store here is the Barnes & Noble. This is a two-story bookstore with a variety of things to purchase, chiefly books, but they also have a lot of games and some records, and the obligatory café that proudly serves Starbucks. Of course it’s cheaper to shop at Amazon for books, but if you’re like me, you believe that brick and mortar bookstores are indispensable… there’s nothing like actually getting to walk around among the books and the games to find what you’re looking for, especially for children who benefit from getting to browse around and see with their hands. If cost is truly an issue, one can always get the membership that provides discounts and other incentives, including the occasional free item at their café. The café has tons of seating such that you can select a few book items and browse them at your leisure while sitting. I highly encourage everybody to sponsor their local bookstore before it’s too late. Mine happens to be this Barnes & Noble. The comments also has a high-end jewelry store, a Ralphs, which is actually on the larger side, a Rivian car dealership is moving in soon, and just a bunch of ladies fashion, like Chico’s, as well as a bunch of restaurants like Boulevard steak, La La Land, Café, etc. They have a turtle pond that they upkeep quite regularly with a fountain. This is a favorite with the kids. The parking lot is huge, and it looks like they’re doing something to it to add more stores in addition to the apartments that they’re gonna put there. If you’ve never been to the Commons at Calabasas, I highly recommend giving it a shot. And who knows, you might bump into one of the Kardashians or their kids there.

  As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives thriller novels, I always notice locations with strong visual design, and The Commons at Calabasas is a very attractive shopping area. The layout has an upscale feel with a mix of higher-end stores. You’ll find brands like Cartier and Rolex alongside anchor spots like Barnes & Noble, which gives the whole area a balanced mix of luxury and everyday browsing. The design leans more toward an open, walkable layout rather than a traditional enclosed mall, which makes it more pleasant to spend time moving through the space. It feels clean, polished, and well maintained. Parking is available, though it can get busy depending on the time of day. When I visited, there was also some construction going on, which made parts of it feel a bit more active than usual. I’ve also found myself walking through areas like this while working on The Maui Desire Romance Series, where the combination of atmosphere, architecture, and people creates a natural backdrop for scenes. Overall, it’s a stylish and well-kept shopping center in Calabasas with a good mix of stores and a strong visual presence.

  Nice selection of restaurants and shopping including Barnes & Noble, Ralphs, CVS. There are 2 turtle 🐢 ponds (outside King's and Marmalade). Parking is decent but can get crowded.

  Nice discovery on our way back from a soccer game in Agura Hills. This rococo style open-air mall is charming and propose many dinning option from Porta Via to Marmelade Cafe, you will find some nice options. Shopping wise we only stopped by Barnes and Nobles, that offer a large location within this mall.
