Mendez Freedom Trail
Westminster, CA
Free
By Simir Shah
The 2-mile Mendez Freedom Trail along Hoover Street has interactive signs, with augmented-reality panels narrated in English, Spanish and Vietnamese, that tell the story of the Mendez v. Westminster case. A protected bikeway runs alongside, which makes it a good family bike ride with built-in history stops. It was dedicated in April 2026, and free parking is available at Sigler Park.
