Costa Mesa's first park (1940), at 570 W 18th St, is the city's civic hub. The Donald Dungan Library, the Downtown Recreation Center and pool, and the Historical Society are all on site, along with a playground, shelter and picnic tables. The park takes its name from the Lions Club, which has long held its Fish Fry fundraiser here.
