  This is a nice park with lots of mature trees and things to do. I take my granddaughter at least once a week. The city has clearly made a large investment in building various activities for bikes, scooters etc. However, the large play structure in sand is not covered, so it will be unbearable in the summer like most play equipment in the parks around town. Same with the swings in the other lot for you get kids. The pkay equipment is very worn. There are areas that are rough and could injure a child. The sand is so low that trying to step up from the sand to the equipment area could be a fall hazard. I should know, I fell flat on my face. The play zip line is locked because it doesn't work right now. They should consider holding off spending money on expansion and perhaps refreshing the worn equipment, adding sand to the sand box and providing covers for the uncovered play equipment.
