Kid suitability: medium-low, better for kids 6 and up. Stairs go down from the end of Diamond Street, with a second access a block north off Ocean Way; there are no facilities, and parking is on the street. It's a scenic rocky cove, but Laguna Ocean Foundation rates its tide pools advanced (north end, 2 ft tide or lower). Laguna's tide pools are a Marine Protected Area: look, don't touch or take anything, and never turn over rocks.
