A paved 2.8-mile trail along the Thompson Creek channel in north Claremont, lined with native plants. It's popular with walkers, runners, strollers and kids on bikes, and leashed dogs are welcome. Higginbotham Park's steam-train playground is a rest stop along it. Parking is on N. Indian Hill Blvd. across from La Puerta Sports Park.
