Chollas Lake is the only youth-only fishing lake in San Diego County, with a free Sunday fishing clinic (noon–3pm) for kids 15 and under. A flat loop circles the water, there's a large playground at Gloria's Mesa and a small one with lake-facing swings, and intro archery runs some Sundays for ages 8+. Gates close before sunset, so check the time posted where you enter.
