The historic Irving Gill building of 1915, which Ellen Browning Scripps gave the city for La Jolla's children, has three large play areas, outdoor basketball and tennis courts. Kids' gymnastics and martial arts classes run through SDRecConnect. It's a block from the Village, so it's a handy break from Prospect Street shopping.
