Big lawn right behind La Jolla Shores beach, with a playground near the boardwalk about 75 yards south of the lifeguard station, plus restrooms with showers. The free lot on Camino del Oro fills fast on summer weekends, so come early. No alcohol, glass or inflatable jumps, and dogs are not allowed on the beach, boardwalk or park 9am–6pm (Apr–Oct) or 9am–4pm (Nov–Mar).
