Fifty-five acres of preserve on the slopes around City Hall (30940 Hawthorne Blvd), with a 15-acre habitat restoration area and short trails close to the Interpretive Center. It's a low-key alternative to the crowded Portuguese Bend trailheads. Preserve rules apply: stay on designated trails, leash dogs where allowed, and no collecting plants or rocks.
