A 32-acre ranch where families hand-feed giant ostriches and emus right through the fence — a genuinely unique, only-here animal encounter in the Santa Ynez Valley wine country.

Great experience. Feeding these beautiful feathered birds. Tickets are $7 for general entry and $5 for seniors. Astrich and Emu eggs are sold . Great experience for all. The gift store is a stop to see too. Also. A shaded bench with mist is nice .

This is exactly what a roadside attraction is supposed to be: unique, inexpensive, and fun. Just being able to see Ostrich and Emu up close was worth the small admission price. Obviously you are not experiencing the else creatures in anything resembling their natural environment but it was fun to get close to them and to feed them. Watching them eyeing you approach the fence with the feeding tray and jostling for position was amusing. Even loved all the ground squirrels around battling for scraps. We couldn't have spent more than 30 minutes here but was definitely a highlight of our day.
