This 1.5-acre living history campus at 450 Quail Gardens Drive, next door to the San Diego Botanic Garden, has historic buildings, exhibits and a farmyard with miniature horses, goats, rabbits, chickens, a pig and a desert tortoise. No reservation is needed for the Friday–Saturday museum hours or the Wednesday farmyard drop-in. Animal feeding happens only during supervised programs.
