A 72-acre coastal sage scrub preserve in the West Coyote Hills where you may spot California quail, cactus wrens and the threatened California gnatcatcher. On a clear day the Nora Kuttner Trail gives 360-degree views to the San Gabriels, downtown LA and Catalina. There is little shade, so bring hats and water.
