A chain of hangars at the historic Santa Paula Airport (founded 1930) holds vintage and experimental aircraft, race cars, motorcycles and antique electronics. It only opens the first Sunday of the month and is weather-dependent, so check the calendar; the airport is active, so kids can watch planes take off and land.

Definitely worth a quick visit the first Sunday of every month to see planes up close and talk to folks ar the local farmer's market! If you're lucky, you'll see some aerobatics!

If only I could give 10 stars! This is easily the best place on earth! I love volunteering here with the SPACE group! It's full of history and full of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I've heard amazing stories just by walking around the airport and talking to people with open hangers on the first Sunday events! I love taking flight lessons here and flying on a bright sunny day! It's where I'm the happiest and an absolute must see! Also the first Sunday events are free!
