The museum sits outside the Naval Base Ventura County fence on Ventura Road at Sunkist Street, so no base pass is needed. It has exhibits on WWII, Korea and Vietnam and humanitarian work, and a 'Bee Fun' zone for kids; check its events page for the Storytime with a Seabee program for ages 3–8.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem for Military & History Lovers If you’re in the area, the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum is definitely worth a visit! Best of all, admission and parking are completely FREE, making it an easy stop for anyone interested in history. I didn’t know much about the Seabees before visiting, but the museum does an excellent job explaining who they are, their history, and the important role they have played from World War II to present-day humanitarian missions. The exhibits include military equipment, uniforms, photographs, artifacts, engineering displays, and interactive exhibits that bring their stories to life. I especially enjoyed learning how the Seabees are not only builders but also trained military personnel who can construct roads, airfields, bridges, and other critical infrastructure even in combat zones. Their famous motto, “Can Do,” perfectly reflects their dedication and resourcefulness. The museum is clean, well organized, and easy to explore at your own pace. Plan about an hour or more if you enjoy reading the exhibits. Whether you’re a military history enthusiast or simply looking for a free educational outing, this museum is absolutely worth visiting.

It was a nice little museum that had a lot of information about the seabees and how they started in the navy. The place is free as well so that's great and it was not busy so didn't really have to worry about people getting in your pictures haha.
