A 50-acre city beach park with sand, BBQ pits and picnic areas, sand volleyball, playground swings, restrooms and seasonal lifeguards. The Lighthouse Promenade walkway starts here and Surfside Seafood sits right on the sand. Parking is pay-by-machine, so bring a card or coins to avoid a ticket.

This is a great place to go for a stroll with family or friends, even in the colder months. The long pier offers a nice vista and a lot of folks seem to enjoy fishing at the end of it. Folks were taking holiday pictures at the beach and had set up a holiday photo set, which was a cute idea. We also witnessed a proposal at the beach, where someone had set up a heart-shaped arch made of out of a combination of real and fake roses. The volleyball courts also looked to be in good shape.
