  Kevin and I come here often, and Fillmore Fish Hatchery has easily become one of our favorite little hidden gems If you’re looking for a peaceful, family friendly spot in Fillmore or a free, relaxing thing to do, this place is so special. One of the best parts is feeding the fish! They provide a handful of pellets for free, which makes it such a fun and interactive experience for both kids and adults. At the end of the fence, there’s also a small pond with larger fish and ducks, which is always nice to walk over to and watch for a bit. It really adds to the calm, slow paced feel of the area. There’s a shaded picnic table, an information board, and very clean bathrooms with sinks, making it easy to stay awhile and enjoy everything. The space is well maintained and very welcoming. If you’re lucky, you might catch them feeding the fish, and it’s honestly one of the coolest things to see. If you’re searching for a quiet outdoor spot in Fillmore or a unique local activity near Ventura County, this is definitely worth a visit. It’s one of those simple places that turns into a peaceful little memory every time we go

  Really cool experience seeing the fish hatchery. There are buckets where you can grab fish food and feed the fish. I would highly recommend if you are with family or even if you just have a curiosity of where your local fish are stocked from!
