You really feel like you went back in time to 1881. A large 2 story adobe with some of its original furniture. I had a tour from one of the descents who described the parties they had in the past. Not many modifications made through out its life. Free admission and free parking on the street Bathroom on site. Very friendly staff.

Nice historic building in downtown San Fernando. The structure is adobe - which was invented by indigenous Californians - and the style is nouveau American/Mexican-Spanish Colonial (the building was constructed in 1882 - California became part of the US in 1850). But the mixture of styles is what makes the structure so interesting. Pleasant garden nearby with bathrooms, which are now closed.
