  Came back to Del Cerro for the first time in years, since the city enacted $11 parking that must be reserved in advance. (If you wish to visit without reserving, you can park near the church on Crest and walk 10 minutes over!) This park is in a rough spot right now, sadly. It seems the paid parking is not enough to fund the park's maintenance, or is going to other projects. Litter, condom wrappers, fake flower petals, dead vegetation, and paused construction projects give a derelict energy to what was once a vibrant and immaculate place. The views of the ocean, surrounding area, and Catalina island still can't be beat! And there are connections to several trails nearby ☺️ Hopefully the city decides to lower the accessibility requirements of Del Cerro and cleans it up - what's the point in gatekeeping something beautiful only to neglect it and let it decay?

  Amazing views! Great place to relax and take in the beauty. I took my bike up all the hills... totally worth it. Catalina sits in the distance, about 20 miles south of the Palos Verdes coastline, making this one of the closest views of the island. If driving, just beware that reservations are required to park here.
