The city's public pool charges pocket-change prices, and open swim is for all ages. Kids under 15 need an adult (18+) with them, and swimmers under 12 must pass a 25-yard swim test before using the deep end. On very hot days the pool can close when it reaches capacity, so call (760) 251-1600 before you go.
