The city's main library at 353 W Commonwealth Ave offers storytimes and youth programming. Check the events calendar for dates, since some storytimes (like the current pirate special) are held at the Hunt Branch instead.

This is a nice library. Has auctions, study rooms, security, and friendly staff. Bathrooms are clean always and plenty of books and dvd's to choose from ( great selection). Also theres a coffee shop connected.

The library goes out of its way to make lending accessible by ensuring we don't stress out over returning books. If you're not the type to finish a book in the default lending time, they'll autorenew it as long as no-one else is waiting for it. They've been pretty borrower-friendly in that regards, perhaps given our shortening attention spans and lack of ability to sit down and read for a consistent period of time.
