Beautiful things can exist in a neighborhood, and the ones living near it never enjoy it. Have you seen a lake view of Mt. Baldy? This is a Regional Park. Yet it has parts (water ways etc.) owned by the State due to it surrounding the Puddingstone Dam/Lake (reservoir). It's huge (250 acres could mean, it may take multiple visits to try and see everything). Nature abounds, and the views on any given day are varied beautiful. It is well maintained. It is family friendly, great for walking, or just relaxing taking on the sights. It offers numerous places with covering (gazebos) for shaded gatherings. On weekends, there is a swim park, boat rentals etc. You can fish on the lake. There is an RV area. You can launch your boat, kayak etc. from the designated piers. There are a variety of styles of playgrounds for children. Look at pictures when you search Bonneli Park. It's dog friendly and there are lovely trails to walk etc. There are public restrooms and many parking areas. Be natured prepared (have what you need) for mosquitoes and possible native wildlife (coyotes etc.)There are seasonal pass offerings with special pricing for Seniors that eliminate the parking per visit entry fee. It also provides additional perks at other state parks. Go visit...it is a beautiful park and the perfect place for a picnic or birthday celebration.

Entry fee is now $18. Please keep in mind that recreation parks close Monday and Tuesday. I love going for air at the park. My son loves and enjiys feeding peanuts to the squirrels. The ducks are there and my son loves to see when they fly away when they see a dog. Restrooms are always clean and the grass looks beautiful. I recommend going anytime of the day. Hace a nice walk and enjoy the view.
