A wonderful place to see how truly international motion pictures have become. So much history of the greatest movies and actors on the planet, all in one place. We were lucky to catch a special exhibition on Korean cinema while we were there. On top there's the Dolby Family Terrace — a beautiful reception space with stunning views out toward the Hollywood Sign and the hills. A must-visit.
💡 Local tip: Save time for the rooftop terrace at the end — the views alone are worth the trip up.
The Oscars' own museum — the history of filmmaking, rotating exhibitions on directors and world cinema, and the Dolby Family Terrace on the roof with sweeping views toward the Hollywood Sign.

Marilyn and Barbie exhibits were especially fun. Free tix made it even better. Bonus also that Robert Rodriguez was there doing a meet & greet and screening for the 30th anniversary of Dusk til Dawn. Always something cool happening there. I had visited back in June 2024 but most exhibits are new & different now so it still held my attention. Good balance of genres and themes in the various rooms/exhibitions. Costuming is a personal fave of mine so I wish they had more of that still. Previously there was a room with a lot more, but maybe that was in the area under renovation.

🎥🎬🦈🎞️🏆🌊👠🏝️ Amity Island Welcomes You!" I would like to thank the Academy for bringing cinephiles and movie buffs together to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Steven Spielberg's Jaws. As a huge Oscars fan, finally visiting the Academy was every bit as special as I had hoped, and experiencing the closing celebration of Jaws: The Exhibition was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Fifty years later, Jaws continues to inspire the same curiosity, suspense, and sense of wonder as the sea that made it legendary. Beyond Jaws, the Academy's collection is remarkable in its own right, with seeing Dorothy's Ruby Slippers in person standing out as another unforgettable highlight and a reminder of just how much cinematic history is preserved within these walls. Flying in from South Florida for this special occasion brought my Jaws 50th National Tour to the perfect conclusion. A heartfelt thank you to Academy staff members Drayton, Jerry, and Carlos for making the day so extraordinary through their knowledge, hospitality, and personal touring. As Chief Brody says in the film's closing moments, "I think the tide's with us." Fifty years later, I'd say the tide is still very much with Jaws. Here's to another 50 years of its incredible legacy.
